India's real face is its villages. Mahatma Gandhi truely
mentioned ‘‘the development of the country depends upon the development of its
villages.’’ The same has also been mentioned by a western economic historian
Angus Madison. In his book ‘’The World Economy : A lineal perspective’’ he
envisaged the thought by saying ‘’India
was the world’s biggest economy for ten centuries between first to tenth
century. India’s GDP was 32.9 % of the
world GDP in the first century. In the year 1000 the GDP was 28.9 % and it was
24.4% in the year 1700. Therefore, If India was called a golden bird, that was
untrue no way.’’
Nevertheless, the past proves as
long as the village sector was out of the mainstream. The
progress rate was always very nominal. Then the situations took turn and then
the agriculture proved a scapegoat for the financial recession. Hence, it turned
out to be a strong fact that without agriculture progress will not be a fruitful
track. The crops on the fields were the hopes during the disappointing phase of
economy.
That is why Mahatma Gandhi held
that the first wind of progress should take off from thevillages.
To realize the same thought and
for sake of the expedient progress of the rural sector, BVC chose the field for
its media endeavour.
Our programs also aim to revive the
diminishing folk lifestyle and folk art.
The BVC TV aims to contribute
towards innovation in agriculture,
environment protection and traditional knowledge. We
aim to bring new R&D for the peasants. BVC TV will have an eye on the protection of the
fertility of the soil and human health as well.
It also plays a significant role
in bringing awareness in the masses. BVC TV presents itself as a strong medium for shaking hands with the
service industry keeping agriculture on its lap.
In nuutshell, BVC TV aims
to encourage rural development along with the governmental and non-governmental
agencies. This is a honest endeavour
towards supporting the humanity as well.
